Utilities

GPS GuyJFNew's experience with utilities has included projects throughout the central US, from Kansas to the East Coast, from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to Mississippi. Much of the larger utility work involved cross county pipeline projects, many crossing state lines and regulatory jurisdictions. Typically JFNew is involved in the early stages of the project, completing wetland and waters of the US delineations, and rare, threatened and endangered species investigations. This involvement has lead to a clear understanding of the FERC requirements as well as NEPA, EA and EIS. Equally as important, we understand when that level of detail is not required.

JFNew's staff of over 100 professionals, including the largest staff of experienced delineators in the region, allows us to mobilize personnel quickly and complete large-scale projects efficiently with multiple crews. Each of our delineators is also experienced with GPS mapping during fieldwork to allow efficient transfer of data to the project engineers.

Our experience provides us with a vast knowledge of the permitting requirements associated with utility projects. This knowledge allows us to anticipate the permitting needs of a project and coordinate with the project team and the regulatory agencies to ensure the project does not experience unanticipated delays.
