JFNew's experience with mining has included sand, gravel, coal and peat operations. Our involvement often begins with a wetland or stream investigation based on permitting requirements. Based upon the site investigation results, we work with our clients to minimize impacts to wetlands and waterways where possible and provide input into a plan that can be permitted. Through our extensive understanding of the regulatory requirements throughout the Midwest, we help minimize unexpected delays and costs.
We are also experienced at implementing the mitigation solutions we design. This often involves working along side the mining crews to complete the earthwork and coordinate construction and native plant installation efforts. This experience includes implementing natural systems to filter discharge water or surface runoff to address water quality issues.
