JFNew works on many LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) projects by providing support services to the project engineer or landscape architect. JFNew's understanding of biological processes and their application to natural systems bring value to the project, particularly relative to stormwater management. The most obvious value is the application of our expertise to the LEED point system. As intended through the LEED system, JFNew's expertise in stormwater management and native plant landscaping reduces long-term expenses associated with the project through reduced landscape maintenance requirements. Specifically, JFNew can assist with points in the following categories under LEED-NC version 2.1:
1-4 points. By using natural treatment systems and conservation design principals, projects completed with JFNew set apart our clients projects from their competitors.
