Since its founding in 1989, JFNew has received several awards ranging from one of the Top 100 Growth Firms to being a key component of many award winning projects, including:
- Sand Creek Golf Course (Chesterton, Indiana) - special recognition for environmental achievement from the Association of Golf Course Superintendents and Audubon Certification
- Coffee Creek Center (Chesterton, Indiana) - 2003 Conservation and Native Landscape award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Chicago Wilderness
- Notre Dame's Warren Golf Course (Notre Dame, Indiana) - Engineers of Indiana in 1997 for excellence in water resources projects
- Intech Park (Indianapolis, Indiana) - Although not a direct project award winner, INTECH Park was one of the sites visited by the 2003 America in Bloom (AIB) judges. As a result, The City of Indianapolis was awarded the national beautification award beating out Boston and Rochester, NY in the over 500,000 population category.
- Marquette Greenway (Northwest Indiana) - Illinois Chapter of American Society of Landscape Architects Merit Award for Planning
- Frankfort Prairie Park (Frankfort, Illinios) - 2003 Conservation and Native Landscape award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Chicago Wilderness
- Miller-Showers Park (Bloomington, Indiana) - Awarded state and national awards for both engineering and planning
- Metro Park East Landfill (Mitchellville, Iowa) - Awarded the Iowa American Society of Civil Engineers Project of the Year
